Ian Weldon

Your NoRTHERN EXPoSURE host and wedding photographer extraordinaire, Ian Weldon, honed his skills on the street and fully believes that overcoming your fears and practicing street photography will help you to see things that other wedding photographers can not.

“The street is raw and difficult but if you can master your approach out here then a wedding becomes a breeze and you can give more of yourself to it” - Ian Weldon

Chris J Parkinson

I think of street photography and I think of NYC! Bruce Gildens early work in the 80’s, Garry Winogrand’s work or Helen Levitt’s gritty documentation of the working class! Even bloody Joe Greer!

For me it’s just about getting out! Picking up the camera when I go to meet a mate for a coffee, taking it with me on a dog walk or making the most of destination wedding trip. It’s about documenting the life around me, trying to notice the little things and making small connections as I go!
